Parents of students enrolled at HPA are encouraged to volunteer at the school throughout the year for a minimum of three hours per month. Parent volunteers provide a tremendous service. The wide variety of talent and expertise among parents and community members greatly enhances the education process for all students. It allows teachers to stay focused on students and be available to meet any additional instruction needs of their students. Areas where volunteers lend a hand include:

Extracurricular activities
Library assistance
Playground/safety supervision
Campus maintenance
Classroom assistance
Special material preparation
Special presentation
Curricular and literature committees
Office assistance
Paper grading
Field trips
Bus stop monitors
Teacher-directed home tasks
New building site development
Bus monitors

Parents are encouraged to observe their students’ classes, join them for lunch, and participate in classroom activities to help further their child’s education.

For reasons of safety, parents are required to report to the office and sign in as either a visitor or a volunteer when on campus. While on campus, parents are asked to demonstrate respect for school policy and rules as outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook. If you are a regular parent volunteer, please contact Nancy Holt (nholt.harvestprep.com)  and discuss the process for fingerprint clearance.
